Ramu Vedaraman is the founder of Ramu & Associates, a law firm practising on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Laws.
Ramu has written a Book on IPR published in 2003, 2005, 2013 and 4th edition in 2017 which is used by senior counsels to pass judgement in a court of law and also referred by Judges as reference.
 
He is also a Rotarian for 10 years and has held various posts in the 3141 Rotary District
His wife Anuradha Ramu is also an IPR Attorney / Advocate and works in his firm Ramu & Associates.
 
They deal with Patents, Trademarks, Copyright & Designs. Their practice is focused mainly on all areas of Intellectual Property Law (IPR) and its related fields.
They have extensive experience in all aspects of Trademarks, Patents, Copyrights, Designs and related matters on IPR.
 
They have been in this field for more than four decades and have associates worldwide dealing with IPR Laws.
 
They have filed many Patents for various companies, firms and individuals. They do drafting of Patent specifications, filing and prosecution of Patent applications, meeting the objections and getting the acceptance order by appearing before the Patent Office Tribunal, under the Indian Patents Act, 1970 (as amended till 2005). They also handle Patent Opposition & Rectification matters.
 
Similarly, They have also filed Trademarks for various companies and individuals. This includes the conducting of Trademark searches, providing opinions on the availability and registrability of trademarks, the filing and prosecution of Trademark applications, meeting the objections raised by the Examiners, attending several hearings and getting acceptance order by appearing before the Trademark Office Tribunal, under the Trade Marks Act, 1999. They also, handle Trademark Opposition & Rectification matters
 
They have also filed Copyright and Design applications for their clients. They do copyright registration for the Artistic work and Literary work. This includes filing and prosecution of Copyright applications, getting the clearance report from the Registrar of Trademarks, as provided under the Copyright Laws for the Artistic work, meeting the objections and getting acceptance and clearance from the Registrar of Copyright, under the Copyright Act, 1957.
They also do Design registration for the products. This includes filing and prosecution of Design application, meeting the objections raised by the Controller of Design and getting the acceptance order for the Design application, under the Designs Act, 2000.
